Around twenty members attended Ryston Hall on Sunday 24th February for the Snowdrop Walk. The weather was warm and sunny and much pleasure was taken from meandering around the gardens and wooded areas. There were carpets of snowdrops but in truth they were reaching the end of their time. There was also an opportunity to visit ‘Kets Oak’ which was planted to mark the Ket’s Rebellion of 1549.
The visit to Ryston was followed by Lunch at the Heron Hotel at Stowbridge. Walkers were joined by some extra members who hadn’t walked and conversely, some walkers didn’t attend the meal! A fine lunch was enjoyed, although the service was a little slow!
